SOMETIMES

Thanks to our brother "Top Cop" AP Roelofs for sharing this wonderful piece by Kris Paronto. (Edited)

Sometimes we are pushed to the edge... whether it be by an unjust action, brutality, or being left to die inside by those we trust. It’s hard to not get caught up in the anger when manipulation by those that want to stay in power or use it to increase their own selfish popularity is inflicted upon us. Don’t fall for it, that’s the devil whispering. I don’t blame people for being angry, we have all been lied to or used by others who do not share in humility and only crave money and power. That’s the problem; being on opposing sides. Right versus obvious wrong. We’ve let the right, the left, the media, the public figures, and every other person, place, or thing ruin or serenity. In many instances, these false idols become our rulers. I admit that for a while I fell for the sweet lies and was a big part of that manipulation which I shouldn’t have been. I admit it and apologize for being caught up in the drama, causing division in the name of a side being right because I was feeling upset. I am grateful that I realized my mistakes, let the anger go, and found my way again (a way I always knew), a way that we all find too.

I did this by turning it all off, taking a deep breath, finding God or spirituality if you don’t believe in God (as a struggling Christian I accept other beliefs in a higher power), and getting back to living with integrity & honor. I encourage everyone to find God again and to find personal integrity and ethical behavior instead of pandering to the side with the “cause” of the month.

God has given us a utopia, if you don’t believe me, all you have to do is look at the sunset, ocean, or the one thing that makes you proud of this creation given to you.

Let’s not ruin any more of what we’ve been freely given.

SCRIPTURE

“If you listen to correction to improve your life, you will be among the wise. Those who refuse correction dislike themselves, but those who accept correction gain understanding. Respect for the Lord will teach you wisdom. If you want to be honored, you must be humble."

--- Proverbs 15:31-33
