What's The Purpose?

The purpose of our lives is far greater than your own personal fulfillment, our peace of mind, or even our happiness. It's far greater than your family, your career, or even your wildest dreams and ambitions. ... But focusing on ourselves will never reveal our collective lives’ purpose. It’s focusing on Christ that reveals the true story of our destiny. Simply put our destiny from the beginning has been to live with Christ. Every goal every dream should be focused on Him and His will for us. But, and I certainly do mean but, we are the distraction. Our own selfishness and our own determination to make it feel better, make it happen faster, make it easier, to do it our way is what pulls us off our predestined course.

Let us pray

Heavenly Father -

Focus our minds, hearts and eyes on your Son. Help us put the crosshairs of our faith on Jesus. Call your Angels to our side to guide us to your promise.

Angel of God,
my guardian dear,
To whom God's love
commits me here,
Ever this day,
be at my side,
To light and guard,
Rule and guide.

In His most Faithful and powerful name we pray
Amen Jesus! Amen. Amen.

The number three is a powerful and often used number in scripture. When one goes looking for “threes” you can most certainly find them in Christianity. Noah had three sons (Gen. 6:10). Three visitors appeared to Abraham (Genesis 18:2). Jonah was inside the belly of the fish three days and nights (Jonah 1:17). Jesus answered Satan’s threefold temptations with three scriptural references (Matthew 4:1-11). Jesus’ ministry lasted three years. Peter denied Jesus three times (Luke 22:54-62), and three times Jesus affirmed his love (John 21:15-17). Samuel L. Jackson is Jules Winnfield, a mobster in a tight spot. Jules and his partner Vincent Vega (John Travolta), have just pulled into the home of Jimmie (played by Tarantino himself) with a dead body in the car which they have to dispose of pronto. Under pressure from Jimmie to get out of there as fast as possible, Jules calls his mob boss Marsellus Wallace (Ving Rhames) to apprise him of the situation and plead for backup.
