A Prayer for Grace

Heaven Father - We thank you for your Son Jesus. We come to Him this morning in prayer of thanksgiving for all the blessing you have bestowed upon us.

Our health, family, finances, food, friends, employment, and a whole host of other blessings that many others do not have.
We ponder and think, what makes us so worthy of your blessings, we admit through our own humility that we are your creations and that you love us very much.

We are so grateful for your love and daily protection. Guide our every action today, keep our eyes, ears and emotions focused on you.

Help us Lord in those moments of frustration and lack of patience, help us to pause and regroup, ever remembering to respond always with you in our heart and your words on our tongues.

You know our weaknesses and failings, and that without Your help we can accomplish nothing for the good of souls, our own and others’

Grant us, therefore, the help of Your grace. Grant it according to our particular needs this day.

Enable us to see the task You will set before each of us in our daily routines, and help us work hard at our appointed responsibilities.

Teach us to bear patiently all the trials, and all of the suffering or failures that may come to us today.

Merciful Lord my Savior, you are never weary of speaking to our poor hearts. Grant us grace that, if today we hear your voice, our hearts may not be hardened by this broken world we live in.

Through our Lord Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, we pray, Amen Jesus! Amen! Amen!

The number three is a powerful and often used number in scripture. When one goes looking for “threes” you can most certainly find them in Christianity. Noah had three sons (Gen. 6:10). Three visitors appeared to Abraham (Genesis 18:2). Jonah was inside the belly of the fish three days and nights (Jonah 1:17). Jesus answered Satan’s threefold temptations with three scriptural references (Matthew 4:1-11). Jesus’ ministry lasted three years. Peter denied Jesus three times (Luke 22:54-62), and three times Jesus affirmed his love (John 21:15-17). And the biggie and most often reference to the number three is the Trinity, God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. So how can we harness the power of three? Well, let’s use and follow Jesus’ example. Samuel L. Jackson is Jules Winnfield, a mobster in a tight spot. Jules and his partner Vincent Vega (John Travolta), have just pulled into the home of Jimmie (played by Tarantino himself) with a dead body in the car which they have to dispose of pronto. Under pressure from Jimmie to get out of there as fast as possible, Jules calls his mob boss Marsellus Wallace (Ving Rhames) to apprise him of the situation and plead for backup. Wallace reassures him he'll be sending "the posse" in the form of "The Wolf" to help.
