Come Holy Spirit, Come!

Father, in the Name of Jesus, help us realize that as believers, our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Our acknowledgment that Your presence on a daily basis makes our faith in You a reality. We believe that You, heavenly Father, are leading and guiding us by the Holy Spirit through our spirits, and illuminating our minds.
As we yield to the Holy Spirit, we believe that our steps are directed by You, LORD. We commit and trust ourselves wholly to Your guidance, expecting You to cause our thoughts to become agreeable to Your will, so our plans will be established and successful. We trust in You, LORD, with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. As we acknowledge You, You direct us in paths of righteousness. All we have to do is do with You always in mind.
We confess that as we become more God-inside minded, we can more easily recognize the inward witness of the Holy Spirit. We hear the voice of the Good Shepherd, and a stranger’s voice we will not follow. We are aware that our spirits are the candle of The LORD. We let them glow for all to see.
We commit ourselves to meditate on The WORD each day and night, not letting it depart from our mouths. We test our inward witness with The WORD, for the Spirit and The WORD agree. We are quick to act on The WORD, as well as the prompting of our spirits. We are not hearers only, but better Lord, we are also doers. Therefore, in the presence of Christ, we request the blessings of the Holy Spirit in all our deeds. Come Holy Spirit, come!

The number three is a powerful and often used number in scripture. When one goes looking for “threes” you can most certainly find them in Christianity. Noah had three sons (Gen. 6:10). Three visitors appeared to Abraham (Genesis 18:2). Jonah was inside the belly of the fish three days and nights (Jonah 1:17). Jesus answered Satan’s threefold temptations with three scriptural references (Matthew 4:1-11). Jesus’ ministry lasted three years. Peter denied Jesus three times (Luke 22:54-62), and three times Jesus affirmed his love (John 21:15-17). Samuel L. Jackson is Jules Winnfield, a mobster in a tight spot. Jules and his partner Vincent Vega (John Travolta), have just pulled into the home of Jimmie (played by Tarantino himself) with a dead body in the car which they have to dispose of pronto. Under pressure from Jimmie to get out of there as fast as possible, Jules calls his mob boss Marsellus Wallace (Ving Rhames) to apprise him of the situation and plead for backup.
