A Prayer for Relationships
Let us pray.
Jesus Our Savior - As we love, honor and respect you so too we pray that we will love our enemies as you love them. Yes, the flesh makes this behavior tough, but when we come to you in immediate prayer we are strengthened and lifted up to concur all burdens. When we pray for those who persecute us God the Father calls the sun to rise on the evil and the good. So...
We pray that they will grow in love: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight.
We pray that they will make wise choices: so that You will help them discern what is best.
We pray that they will live with integrity: and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ.
We pray that our enemies will become like Jesus: filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Our Savior — to the glory and praise of God.
We pray a prayer of thanks to You Lord for the many gifts and graces You give to Your men here this morning and for the people that come into our lives who mean so much to us. Thank You for the phone line fellowship and the prayers we enjoy each morning with our brothers in Christ - and Lord how good it is to walk when members of Your body talk together in love and unity.
Deepen we pray the bond of fellowship within the body of Christ and may our hearts be knit together in love – in Christ Jesus. Forgive us for the times when our fleshly natures has broken or damaged the precious relationship we have with each other - in Christ, and keep us we pray walking in love, knowing that we are a spiritual house - joined together as one in Him.
Thank You Lord for those special people and relationships you have placed in our life with whom we enjoy a close bond of unity and may we encourage and edify each other as we wait for the any day return of the Lord Jesus to claim His church for Himself. May we all draw ever closer to each other and to You as we see the day of Your return approaching, we ask this in Jesus’ name,
Amen! Amen! Amen!
SCRIPTURE
HEBREWS 10:23-25
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
